The Old Layout

I wanted to post this so you could see the original layout of the bus as we bought it.  I am working on a new layout as well and thought I would be done with it by now but have been traveling and having laptop problems on the road.

Old Layout -

Priority Projects -

1.Move the refrigerator - this has already been completed.  We cut out a section of the counter top and moved the refrigerator over to the driver side wall.  These pictures where taken during that process and as soon as I get a chance to take some more pictures of the completed area I will upload them as well.

2. We are currently in the process of finishing the bedroom.  This involves adding cabinets around the head of the bed area and a dresser and hallway closet at the front of the bedroom area.  This is a picture that shows the basic structure – More to come later as this progresses -

3. The bathroom needs to shrink.  We need to take out the existing shower and sink.  Move the toilet to where the current sink is.  Install a new sink against the wall.  Install a new shower against the wall and put a new hallway in the middle of the bus.

4. Build 4 bunks where the current doorways are.  These will have storage underneath and will be the kids sleeping area.

There are a bunch of other things that we also need to do including - Re-run the AC vents (possibly switch to a different AC system all together), Complete the drivers area of the bus (finishing up the wiring, installing the heater/blower vents, finishing up the gauges, finishing work) Install new furniture for the living room area….many other little things as well.

Our Priorities will be those top 4.  Once we complete them we can start taking trips in the bus.

  1. I enjoy seeing your upgrades on the bus. After spending a year and a half living in concrete dust, having to make a million decisions, etc. as we remodeled our house (that’s now for sale), I’m so glad it’s you all and not us remodeling a bus! But it IS great fun watching you do it:) Keep posting.

BTW, how did you get your drawings onto your post? Was it a PDF file you uploaded into a media gallery? I’d like to be able to do this sort of thing on my website.
